The Teldex Studio Berlin of today was for decades the location of recording teams from Telefunken and later Teldec Classics.

Hundreds of legendary classical and non-classical recordings were made here. After the re-structuring of the Warner Music Company and the consequent closing down of the label Teldec Classics International as well as the Berlin Teldec Studios, Friedemann Engelbrecht, Tobias Lehmann and Martin Sauer founded Teldex Studio Berlin GmbH in January 2002, thus continuing the history of the studio.

After the modernization in 2003, the studio became one of the largest private recording studios encompassing international standards. The location is a relaxing and inspiring ambience in the south part of the media metropole Berlin. The famous recording hall, the „state-of-the-art“ equipment, including a selection of microphones worldwide unique, and the experience possessed by the Tonmeister and producers ensure first class recordings, whether classical, pop, film scores or spoken texts.

Besides the close connection to the French label harmonia mundi Teldex works with all of the important international music and video production firms. The recording hall can be rented for events and video productions. Peter Schmidt alias ’Blackpete’ has set up on our premises his Ballsaal-Studios providing also a mixing facility especially for pop music.
